The president discusses with religious scholars the war against Al-Shabaab

 The President of the Republic, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, met with a group of religious scholars and discussed with them the war that his government is waging against the Al-Shabaab movement. The President praised the role of scholars in supporting the government and people's fight against extremists, and called on them to confront extremist ideology.

At the event, which was also attended by the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Mukhtar Robow, the scholars expressed their solidarity with the president and the government in their efforts to defeat Al-Shabaab.

The scholars condemned the atrocities committed by Al-Shabaab, which they said were contrary to the teachings of Islam and the values ​​of the Somali people, and called on the people to unite and cooperate with the government and security forces in the fight against terrorism.
