President Hassan Sheikh lays the foundation stone for a huge real estate project in Mogadishu
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, laid the foundation stone for a huge real estate project called “Diamond Beach,” which was invested by Somali businessmen. The project consists of residential homes with a capacity of 50,000 people, with amenities such as multiple commercial complexes, schools, health centres, mosques and entertainment centres.“The construction of this neighborhood is the beginning of a new Somalia that reshapes its government and competes with the world,” the president said. He added: “Somali businessmen must trust their country and stand by the government by paying the taxes they owe, so that we can recover from the problems we suffered from.”
President Mohamud thanked the businessmen for investing in their country and bringing meaningful projects to the Somali people, and also urged them to support their government until we reach an era of self-reliance.
