Somaliland signs an agreement with an Emirati company to establish a mining laboratory

 The Ministry of Mining and Energy in Somaliland has concluded an agreement with an Emirati company to establish a mining laboratory dedicated to examining minerals and gemstones extracted from Somaliland regions. 

This laboratory is considered the first of its kind in the region, and aims to address the challenges facing local mining companies. The project is expected to contribute to stimulating economic growth in Somaliland.

This agreement will help reduce reliance on sending mineral samples abroad, as they were previously sent to countries such as India, South Africa and Dubai, facilitating inspections and assessments locally.
