President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud chairs Anti-Money Laundering Committee meeting

 President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, on Wednesday chaired an extraordinary meeting of the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee, stressing the need for swift action to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.

During the meeting, the President directed security agencies to implement strict measures to curb financial exploitation by terrorists and ensure the protection of citizens and their properties.

President Mohamud reiterated the government’s commitment to holding terrorist financiers accountable, stressing that perpetrators will face justice and the full weight of the law. The meeting was an important step in strengthening national security efforts, with a focus on protecting Somalia’s financial system and addressing threats to stability.
