The United Arab Emirates joins anti-ISIS operations in Puntland

 The United Arab Emirates has joined the ongoing military operations against ISIS in Puntland State, specifically in the Alamskad Mountains of Bari Governorate, according to security officials from the regional administration.

UAE forces carried out an air strike targeting a truck believed to be carrying explosives for ISIS fighters stationed in the area. The UAE has been providing continuous support to the security forces in Puntland by providing financial aid, military training, and necessary equipment.

The officials explained that this support played a major role in the ongoing attack against ISIS elements in the region. In a related context, the United States announced the implementation of an air strike yesterday, Sunday, which resulted in the killing of two members of the organization.
