Bologna achieved a huge surprise by winning the Italian Cup, following its valuable 1-0 victory over AC Milan, in the final match that was held on Wednesday evening, lifting the cup for the third time in its history after the 1970 and 1974 titles.

The only goal in the match was scored by Swiss player Dan Endoy in the 53rd minute, after a wonderful individual effort that ended with a perfect shot past goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Milan failed to return the result despite its many attempts during the remaining minutes of the match.

This is the first title in the coaching career of coach Vincenzo Italiano, who broke his jinx in the final matches, after losing 3 previous finals with Fiorentina in the European Conference League and the Italian Cup.
