Discovery of an Ideal Site for Human Life on Mars
A recent study has revealed that scientists believe they have found the ideal location for human settlement on Mars.
The study, led by planetary geologist Erica Lotze of the University of Mississippi, revealed the presence of a geographic area on the surface of Mars that could potentially be habitable.
The researchers relied on high-resolution camera images of Amazonas Planitia, a vast volcanic plain extending between the equator and the poles on the Red Planet.
The images, taken by a NASA spacecraft, revealed the presence of fresh craters, numerous ridges and cracks, as well as terrain similar to that found in Earth's polar regions.
