Mogadishu, Safar 3, 1447 AH (July 28, 2025 AD) – The Somali government has purchased two Airbus A320 aircraft to be used in the revitalization of Somali Airlines. The aircraft will enter service within two months.
The purchase agreement for these two aircraft was signed today at the Prime Minister's Office.
Somali Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamed Farah Nuh affirmed that reviving the Somali Airlines project is a national goal, and that the government will purchase more aircraft in the coming period.
