Inter Miami's technical management revealed on Wednesday the latest developments in the condition of Argentine striker Lionel Messi, including his possible participation in the upcoming match.

"Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba trained with us and completed the session," Javier Morales, assistant coach to Javier Mascherano at Inter Miami, said in a press conference on Wednesday. "We'll see how they feel today and then we'll make a decision about whether they'll play in the match. We'll have to wait and see."

The assistant coach added: "We will see how they feel this afternoon to determine their participation against Orlando. They trained with us at full capacity, and we are really happy with that."

Inter Miami is scheduled to play Orlando City in the Leagues Cup on Thursday morning, the first semifinal match.

Earlier, Lionel Messi suffered a muscle injury in his right leg during his team's match against Mexican club Necaxa in the Leagues Cup.

The team confirmed that its star player had suffered a minor muscle injury, noting that Messi's absence would depend on his response.
