The first match is scheduled to take place on September 14 between Egypt's Pyramids FC and New Zealand's Auckland City.

The winner will face Al-Ahli Saudi Club in Jeddah on September 23 to determine the Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup champion.

According to FIFA's announcement on its website, three more matches, including the 2025 FIFA Confederations Cup final , will be held during December.

FIFA explained on its official website that, “As was the case with the inaugural tournament in late 2024, the 2025 edition will be held with a modified format that allows clubs competing in the opening round to compete for the Africa-Asia-Pacific title on home soil, giving these teams the opportunity to compete in a FIFA competition at home and in front of their fans.

He added that the annual rotation system between the Asian and African Football Confederations determines the host team for the Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup, giving clubs the opportunity to host competitive international football matches, allowing more fans to see their clubs in a FIFA tournament than ever before.

The Africa-Asia-Pacific Cup qualifier will bring together African champions Pyramids FC of Egypt and Oceania champions Auckland City FC of New Zealand on Sunday, September 14, at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt .

The winner of this match will meet Al-Ahli Saudi Arabia, the Asian champions, in Jeddah on September 23. The winner will be crowned the Africa and Asia-Pacific champions and advance to the next stage.

The next stage begins with the Derby of the Americas on Wednesday, December 10, between Mexico's Cruz Azul, the North American champion, and the South American champion, whose match will be determined on November 29.

On Saturday, December 13, the Challenge Cup will be held between the winner of the Americas derby and the champion of Africa and Asia-Pacific. The winner will advance to the final to face European champions Paris Saint-Germain on December 17.
