Governor of Banadir inspects the Education Department of Mogadishu Municipality
The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein, conducted an inspection tour of the Mogadishu Municipal Education Department headquarters on Sunday to review its operations. During his tour, the Governor received detailed reports from Education Department staff regarding the services provided to citizens and the progress made in educational services.Governor Mungab expressed his gratitude to the Education Department for its outstanding efforts in serving the community, emphasizing that the regional administration is giving special attention to developing educational services to enable taxpayers to access free education for their children.
The governor of Banadir said, “We recently signed an agreement to allocate approximately $300,000 annually for school development in Banadir province, and we will work to increase this amount. Plans are also underway to build larger schools.”
In closing, the governor urged parents to enroll their children in school to protect them from ignorance and safeguard the future of generations, emphasizing that obtaining a secondary school certificate, which was previously a challenge, is now much easier.
