 Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo sent a message to Al-Nassr fans after the heartbreaking draw against Al-Hilal, who snatched a 1-1 draw in the dying moments of Tuesday's match, capitalizing on a glaring error by goalkeeper Pinto that delayed the Saudi league title celebrations.

Al-Nassr fans were preparing to celebrate clinching the league title, but Pinto misjudged a throw-in, deflecting it into his own net while attempting to catch it, scoring the equalizer with just 12 seconds remaining.

After the draw, cameras captured Ronaldo fighting back tears, looking utterly devastated after coming so close to winning his first title with Al-Nassr, the club he joined three years ago. In a message to fans posted on his official X account, Ronaldo wrote: "The dream is within reach. Hold your heads high. Just one more step. Thank you all for the incredible support tonight."

Due to Pinto's error, Al-Nassr's title celebrations were postponed. The draw brought their points tally to 83 at the top of the table, compared to 78 for Al-Hilal, who have two matches remaining compared to Al-Nassr's one. Al-Nassr's final match is against Damac, while Al-Hilal has two remaining matches against Neom and Al-Fayha.
