The Foreign Minister chairs a meeting to develop passport procedures and enhance institutional coordination.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government, Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, chaired a meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Mogadishu to discuss the development of passport procedures. The Director General of the Immigration and Nationality Agency, Mr. Hussein Qasim Yusuf, also participated.The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two institutions, particularly regarding diplomatic, service, and official government passports, immigration procedures, and the exchange of vital information to expedite work coordination and improve the quality of services provided to citizens and government institutions.
The two sides also agreed to form a joint technical committee to develop cooperation on government travel documents, consular affairs, and facilitating services related to immigration and citizenship. This meeting is part of the Somali Federal Government's ongoing efforts to strengthen the performance of vital institutions in the country, improve the efficiency of government services, and enhance cooperation among various official bodies.
