The Minister of State at the Ministry of Defense meets with the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense in Moscow.

 Mr. Omar Ali Abdi, State Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Somalia, met with Mr. Vasily Osmakov, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, during a working visit to Moscow.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, primarily ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in defense and military fields, in a manner that serves the shared interests of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Russian Federation.

Both sides stressed the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and exchanging experiences, expressing their shared desire to develop and strengthen defense cooperation relations between the two countries, in order to consolidate the bilateral partnership and support efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability.
