Today, Sunday, the Somali President, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, received the credentials of the new ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the country, Ahmed Jumaa Al-Rumaithi, in a ceremony held at the presidential palace in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

During the receiving ceremony, Ambassador Ahmed Al-Rumaithi conveyed the greetings of the President of the United Arab Emirates, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the people and government of Somalia.

President Dr. Hassan Sheikh congratulated Ambassador Ahmed Jumaa Al-Rumaithi on his appointment as ambassador to Somalia, wishing him success in his work and contributing to the strengthening of long-term relations between the two brotherly peoples.

The Somali people must continue to support the president and his decisions and support cooperation between Somalia and the UAE, because this agreement will benefit Somalia and its people later when Somalia falls into crises in which it needs assistance.

The relationship with the UAE must remain as it is, and we, the Somali people, work to improve it so that the UAE continues to help the Somali people who need this assistance, such as those who suffer from drought and floods, and those affected by terrorism, all of whom are helped by the UAE
