The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, confirmed, on Monday, that the UAE's ambitions in the field of space are great and continuous.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on his account on the “X” website (formerly Twitter), on the occasion of the arrival of the Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi to Earth after completing the first long-term Arab mission in space: “And I have Sultan Al Neyadi, praise be to God for your safe return to Earth.” After the longest Arab mission in space, you made with the national work teams a historic Emirati achievement and contributed to the service of science and humanity. With all of you, our ambitions in the field of space are great and continuous. Science is our weapon, and the effort of our children is our asset, and success from God.
For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated the people of the Emirates and all Arab youth on the safe return of Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi to planet Earth.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in his account on the “X” website: We congratulate the people of the Emirates and all Arab youth on the safe return of Sultan Al Neyadi to planet Earth, the first Arab astronaut on a long mission on the International Space Station. Sultan conducted 200 scientific research missions, and spent more than 4,400 hours in space, and inspired millions of Arab youth that we are able to contribute positively to humanity's scientific and civilized march.
On Monday, the Dragon spacecraft carrying the Crew-6 crew, including Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, landed on Earth. Al-Neyadi returned to Earth with important scientific results, and a personal experience that could be a beacon for fans of storming outer space, after harnessing himself to accomplish more than 200 scientific experiments to study the changes that affect astronauts in space.
The Crew 6 mission is the first long-term mission of Arab astronauts, and the second Emirati mission to the International Space Station, and was launched by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center as part of the UAE Astronaut Program.
