The President meets with leaders of the Somali elite forces to discuss ongoing military operations

 Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud met with officers of the Somali Special Forces known as “Gorgor” in the city of Dusmarib, which was the command center for the war against Al-Shabaab.

During the meeting, which was held at the Somali National Army operations center in the city, President Mahmoud heard reports about the ongoing military operations against the movement’s militants in Galmudug and Hirshabelle states.

During the meeting, he stressed the importance of the ongoing military operations and described them as a battle for the independence and freedom of the Somali people, praising the leaders for their dedication to providing an outstanding level of performance in the fields of war.

Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud confirmed the continuation of military operations against the Al-Shabaab movement linked to Al-Qaeda until final victory is achieved.
