The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, returned to the country after participating in the International Conference on Climate Change held in the United Arab Emirates.
On the sidelines of the conference, the President of the Republic held special meetings with the presidents and international organizations that attended the conference, in which he discussed the strong impact of climate change, which Somalia is considered one of the countries most affected by it.
During his stay in Dubai, the President made an effort to obtain support and assistance for relief and rescue operations for the Somali people who were displaced due to the floods resulting from the El Nino phenomenon, reviewing the extent of the problem and the measures taken by the Somali government.
