The Somali government calls for an immediate end to tribal conflicts in South West State

The Federal Government of Somalia has called for an immediate cessation of tribal conflicts in South West State, which have recently escalated and caused significant loss of life and property.

The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Sadat Aliyu, highlighted the dire consequences of the wars in Burhakba, Dinsur, Barawi, Wanlwin and Qaryoley districts, which led to many deaths, injuries, displacement and destruction of property.

Aliyu also expressed his ministry's readiness to help stop the ongoing tribal wars that have not only destabilized the regions but also led to broader concerns about security and development in the south-west region.
