EgyptAir launches direct flights between Cairo and Mogadishu starting in July
EgyptAir announced plans to operate new direct airlines from Cairo to Mogadishu starting in July 2024, which represents a new chapter in air travel between the two capitals and confirms the cooperation agreed upon between the two countries.EgyptAir is scheduled to launch direct flights to Mogadishu at a rate of two flights per week, starting from July 11, according to the Somali embassy in Egypt. The new Somali ambassador to Egypt, Ali Abdi Awari, praised this step and described it as a step that would enhance cooperation between the two countries.
A delegation from the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority and EgyptAir visited Mogadishu about a month ago to begin a plan to prepare direct flights for EgyptAir between the Somali and Egyptian capitals.
