The Somali President arrives in Nairobi to participate in the Summit of African Heads of State

 The President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, arrived in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, to participate in the African Heads of State Summit with the World Bank, which will be held on April 29, 2024. The President’s participation in the summit coincides with the relief of Somalia from its long-term debt, giving the country an opportunity to attract international investments and development projects.

The summit, organized by the International Development Agency under the auspices of the World Bank, will focus on developing and investing in the African continent in order to strengthen it through major development projects.

While in Nairobi, President Hassan Sheikh is scheduled to hold special meetings with African leaders and officials from the International Development Organization, to accelerate cooperation between Somalia and international financial institutions.
