Conclusion of a consultative meeting on security in the capital of Galmudug state
The Somali Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail “Fartaj,” and the Vice President of Galmudug State, Ali Tahir Eid, concluded a consultative meeting on security in the city of “Dusmarib,” the capital of Galmudug State.The two-day meeting, in which the Federal Ministry of Security, the security ministries of regional governments and Somali police officials participated, discussed the joint police project, the Somali Police Law, the strategic plan for internal security, and the exit of the African Union Transitional Mission from Somalia.
The Minister of Internal Security in the Federal Government, Abdullahi Sheikh Ismail, said that this meeting is important for the security and safety of Somalia. The Vice President of Galmudug State, Ali Taher Eid, also praised the success of the conference, noting that Galmudug is an important region in the war against extremist groups.
The Deputy Commander of the Somali Police and the security ministers of the regional governments also spoke at the meeting, who presented opportunities and cooperation to ensure the country's security.
