President Hassan Sheikh meets the UK Ambassador to Somalia
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud met with the UK Ambassador to Somalia, Michael Nithavrianakis. The meeting, which was held at the presidential palace in Mogadishu, focused on the strategic partnership between Somalia and the United Kingdom and enhancing joint cooperation in various sectors.The President took the opportunity to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Sir Keir Starmer, expressing his keenness to work closely with the new British government in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
For his part, Ambassador Nithavrianakis affirmed the United Kingdom's continued support for Somalia's development, explaining that the United Kingdom remains committed to working closely with the Somali government in facing common challenges.
