The death of the great Somali scholar and preacher Sheikh Osman Haddag

 The scholar Imam Sheikh Othman bin Sheikh Omar bin Sheikh Daoud, one of the most famous scholars in East Africa, died tonight at the age of 84. The following is the text of a statement issued by the group of Sheikh Daoud Alsu, of which Sheikh Othman Haddag was the imam, regarding his death and arrangements for his burial.

The group of Sheikh Daoud Alsu mourns the Islamic nation and the Somali people, the late Imam Sheikh Othman bin Sheikh Omar bin Sheikh Daoud (Sheikh Othman Haddagh), after a journey full of knowledge and giving.

Sheikh Othman spent his entire life serving the true Islamic religion and spreading its teachings in accordance with the moderate Islamic approach and the correct doctrine, leaving behind immortal imprints.

The group announces that the burial ceremony for the body of the late deceased, God willing, will take place on Saturday, the 14th of the month of Muharram 1446 AH, corresponding to July 20, 2024 AD, where the funeral prayer will take place in the Al-Shifa Mosque in the Karan District, east of the capital, Mogadishu, after the noon prayer, and he will be buried in an area close to the mosque.
