The Minister of Defense praises the UAE’s role in building the Somali army

 The Minister of Defense in the Somali Federal Government, Abdiqadir Mohamed Nur “Jama,” praised the role of the United Arab Emirates in building the Somali National Army. Jama said that the UAE government played a major role in building the Somali army, and also trained the military police that maintain the security of the capital, Mogadishu.

On Wednesday, the minister, who visited the General Gordon training camp run by the UAE to inspect the soldiers training there, thanked the UAE government for the assistance it provides to his country.

The Minister also thanked other countries providing assistance to Somalia in building the army, describing this as a very important matter for this country, and urged the forces in the camp to benefit from the training and serve their country.
