Somali Foreign Minister participates in the launch of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Mogadishu

 Several Arab League ambassadors gathered in Mogadishu on Wednesday to inaugurate the Arab League Council of Ambassadors to enhance diplomatic relations between Somalia and Arab states.

Somalia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Maalam Faqi, expressed gratitude to Ambassador Abdullah Al-Otaibi, head of the Arab League mission in Somalia, for leading the initiative. Minister Faqi emphasized the council's role in encouraging Arab unity, strengthening cooperation and the Arab League's support for Somalia's sovereignty.

Ambassador Al-Otaibi commended the council as a vital platform for collaboration and promoting the Arabic language in Somalia. Fadl Ali Ahmed Al-Hanak, Yemen's Ambassador to Somalia, also noted that its potential to address shared challenges and deepen cooperation among Arab states.

Several ambassadors reiterated their support for Somalia's sovereignty, political independence, and territorial integrity, particularly against Ethiopia's recent MoU agreement with the Somaliland breakaway region. Minister Faqi reaffirmed Somalia's strong ties with the Arab League and the organization's firm stance against Ethiopia's actions.
