The Somali Foreign Minister arrives in Cairo to participate in the meeting of Arab foreign ministers

 Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Faki arrived in Cairo to participate in the meeting of the 162nd session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, which began today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

During the ministerial meeting, the Council will discuss ways to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza and the West Bank, and the situation in a number of Arab countries such as Libya, Yemen, Sudan and Somalia, in addition to solidarity with Lebanon, the security of navigation and energy supplies in the Arabian Gulf region, and the Ethiopian dam.

The current session is chaired by the Republic of Yemen, and Arab foreign ministers and heads of delegations participate in the meetings, in addition to Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General of the League, and a number of Assistant Secretaries-General.
