The Somali Foreign Minister receives the Sudanese ambassador to the country

 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Somali government, Ahmed Moalim Faqi, received today, Sunday, in his office at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassador of the sisterly Republic of Sudan to Somalia, Mr. Abdel Rahman Khalil Ahmed Abkar.

During the meeting, they discussed strengthening historical relations between the two countries and exploring prospects for cooperation in various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments, especially the security and political situation in Sudan.

The Somali Foreign Minister affirmed his country's full solidarity with the Sudanese government and people, reiterating Somalia's firm commitment to respecting Sudan's sovereignty and not interfering in its internal affairs, in addition to rejecting calls and efforts aimed at forming a parallel government.
