Kenya Reaffirms Recognition of Somalia's Unity and Independence
Nairobi – Kenyan Health Minister Adam Barre Duale, during an event marking the 65th anniversary of Somalia's independence organized by the Somali Embassy in Kenya, reiterated his country's recognition of Somalia's unity and independence.
Duale commended Somalia's efforts in promoting regional stability and stated that Kenya supports all efforts to promote peace in the region through diplomacy and cooperation.
He added that the Kenyan government is ready to strengthen relations between the two neighboring countries and partner in developing the blue economy, combating climate change, and sustainable development.
Duale attended the event on behalf of Kenyan President William Ruto and was accompanied by senior Kenyan government officials, including Minister of Women's Affairs Hanna Cheptumo, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Korir Sengwe, and Permanent Secretary for Culture Ami Bashir, among others.
