Somalia and Ethiopia begin a joint meeting to review cooperation in Addis Ababa.

Addis Ababa – A major review meeting of the technical committee, comprising ministries from Somalia and Ethiopia, officially kicked off in Addis Ababa on Friday. This meeting aims to assess the progress made and the status of implementation of various agreements reached during the inaugural meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee, held in Mogadishu.

The Somali Federal Government delegation is led by the Director-General of Social Affairs for East Africa. The delegation's participation in this high-level meeting underscores Somalia's commitment to deepening bilateral relations and fostering a strong partnership with its neighbor.

Discussions during the review meeting focused particularly on key areas aimed at strengthening the relationship between the two countries. They also include initiatives to enhance cooperation between the Somali and Ethiopian peoples, stimulate trade and economic growth, and strengthen various aspects of their long-standing relationship.
