The country's ambassador in Moscow

 His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Zubair, Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia to Russia, presented a copy of his credentials as non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus to His Excellency Sergei Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of the official diplomatic accreditation procedures.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in the political, economic, trade, and cultural fields, in a manner that serves their common interests, supports regional stability and sustainable development, and enhances multilateral coordination.

The ambassador conveyed the greetings of the country's leadership, reiterating the Federal Government's commitment to developing international partnerships and opening new avenues for cooperation.

For his part, the Belarusian official welcomed the ambassador, affirming his country's support for the Somali diplomatic mission and praising the growing partnership between the two countries. This move comes within the framework of Somalia's efforts to deepen its diplomatic relations and expand areas of international cooperation, with expectations of further progress in bilateral relations in the coming period.
