The President visits those injured in an attack on a hotel in Mogadishu

 President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, along with the Police Chief, visited Erdogan Hospital in Mogadishu on Friday, where some officials and civilians injured in the Al-Shabaab attack on SYL Hotel are receiving treatment.

At least three government soldiers were killed, and 27 others were injured, including 18 civilians and three deputies, during the attack, which continued for hours before security forces were able to resolve it. The president condemned the attack and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud also visited the headquarters of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), where he reviewed initial reports about the terrorist attack on the SYL Hotel.
