The governments of Somalia and Saudi Arabia discuss cooperation in the blue economy

 The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy in the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency Ahmed Hassan Adam, met with the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Saudi Government, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al-Fadhli.

The two officials discussed potential investment in the Somali blue economy and how Saudi Arabia could invest in Somalia in the areas of fisheries. Minister Ahmed said in a post on his official X platform: “We have presented strategic investment opportunities in fish resources to the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

The Minister praised the valuable contributions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, explaining that the blue economy has become at the top of the global economies that countries seek to exploit to achieve development.
