The Prime Minister of Somalia meets the Iraqi President

 The Prime Minister of the Somali Federal Government, Hamza Abdi Barre, met with the Iraqi President, Mr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, in a high-level meeting that emphasized the growing relations between the two countries. Berri, who is visiting Baghdad, conveyed to the Iraqi President a message from Somali President Hassan Sheikh, in which he highlighted the achievements made by the Somali people and their government.

Discussions focused on deepening cooperation in the fields of security, diplomacy and education, and the Iraqi President stressed the importance of educational opportunities for Somali students in Iraqi universities, indicating a potential increase in educational exchanges between the two countries.

Prime Minister Berri, for his part, affirmed Somalia's commitment to strengthening its relations with Iraq in various sectors, and stressed the mutual benefits of this cooperation, especially in enhancing regional security and stability.
