The Somali ambassador presents his credentials to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi

 The new Somali Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Mr. Ali Abdi Awari, presented his credentials to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The ambassador praised the pivotal role played by Egypt under the leadership of President Sisi in supporting the Arab countries and the Horn of Africa region, especially Somalia, in light of the current challenges, stressing the depth of Somali-Egyptian relations. 

During the meeting, Awari conveyed the greetings of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, and the Somali people to President Sisi and to the Egyptian government and people, expressing his appreciation to the Egyptian leadership for the good reception and hospitality upon his arrival in Egypt.

The ambassador expressed his aspiration for more cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries in the next stage and for strengthening the bonds of cooperation in various fields, indicating that he will be keen to build on the great development in relations to increase the pace of cooperation to include all political, economic, social and military fields as well.
