The Egyptian Foreign Minister made a phone call with the Somali Foreign Minister, discussing strengthening relations between the two countries.


Egypt affirms its full support for Somalia's sovereignty and unity

 Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration in the Egyptian government, made a phone call with Ahmed Maalim Faqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, during which they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

Minister Abdel Aati affirmed Egypt's full support for the sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity of Somalia within the framework of the principles of international law, and in a way that achieves security and stability for brotherly Somalia.

The Egyptian Minister also stressed Egypt's full support for the efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia in combating terrorism and restoring peace throughout Somalia, which contributes to enhancing the security and stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister was keen to express Egypt's support for the role of national institutions in Somalia, and its readiness to provide all necessary technical assistance to enable them to play their role in achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Somali people.
